Notes:

  • The Consumer Price Index (CPI) measures price changes for goods and services relative to the baseline year. The collection of data for the CPI is done through the Retail Price Survey. School tuition fees are collected at the beginning of the school year or semester.1
  • The major commodity grouping of CPI is based on the 2020 Philippine Classification of Individual Consumption According to Purpose (PCOICOP). This is a standard classification of individual consumption expenditures patterned after the one set by the United Nations.2
