Notes:

  • The Consumer Price Index (CPI) for Bottom 30% Income Households in Central Visayas measures price changes in goods and services typically consumed by families in the lowest 30% income bracket, relative to the baseline year. Price collection for this index is conducted simultaneously with the CPI for All Income Households through the Retail Price Survey.1

  • This series covers the provinces of Cebu and Bohol and three highly urbanized cities: Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue.

  • The province of Negros Oriental was transferred to the newly formed Negros Island Region with the signing of Executive Order No. 183, s. 2015 by former President Benigno Aquino III.2 Former President Duterte later signed Executive Order No. 38, s. 2017 abolishing the NIR.3 In 2024, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. signed into law Republic Act No. 12000 re-establishing NIR which now includes Siquijor.4 There is a pending Petition for Declaratory Relief and Prohibition filed before the Supreme Court questioning the constitutionality of RA 12000.5
