Notes: This series represents the net foreign direct investment (FDI) flows into the Philippines compiled under the Balance of Payments Manual, 6th edition (BPM6) framework, which the BSP adopted in March 2013. Net FDI flows refer to nonresidents' net equity capital (placements less withdrawals) plus reinvestment of earnings plus debt instruments (net intercompany borrowings). Data covers nonresidents' investments in non-banks (from the Cross-Border Transactions Survey) and in local banks. Industries are classified based on the 1994 Philippine Standard Industrial Classification (PSIC).1
