Units: Percent
Frequency: Annual
Notes: This series represents the annual percentage change in household final consumption expenditure at current prices, comparing each year with the previous year. Household final consumption expenditure (HFCE) measures total spending by households on goods and services. For the 2018-based estimates, HFCE is primarily derived from retail trade output statistics, adjusted to exclude expenditures by non-residents using inbound tourism data. The estimates also incorporate gross output from various service industries including recreation, ownership of dwellings, electricity, and water, since retail statistics cover goods only.1
