Notes:
-
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) for Financial Services in the National Capital Region (NCR) measures price changes in services provided by banks and other financial institutions relative to the baseline year. The collection of data for the CPI is done through the Retail Price Survey.1
-
The major commodity grouping of CPI is based on the 2020 Philippine Classification of Individual Consumption According to Purpose (PCOICOP). This is a standard classification of individual consumption expenditures patterned after the one set by the United Nations. In the 2020 PCOICOP, insurance and financial services (Division 12) also covers insurance, but the CPI only tracks financial services.2
